Full-Service Support with Continuity of Technology

MPS Global is committed to quickly responding to the needs of our customers. Connexus is a leading MIF technology to connect the energy industry. MPS Global is built on a reputation of reliability and service to meet the fast paced, cost-conscious requirements of pipeline projects.

How We Service Your Project:

Dedicated Resources

MPS Global is committed to providing dedicated resources to ensure the success of our projects. We are a service company. Our specialists are available to connect and install pipelines. Our solutions eliminate welding, x-ray, sandblasting and other ancillary costs for our customers. Connexus is a repeatable process requiring less equipment and labor. It reduces variable costs associated with welding.

Large Diameter Pipe

MPS Global specializes in connecting large diameter pipe. Connexus is the only MIF technology worldwide able to join pipe up to 20” in diameter and wall thickness up to schedule 80. Custom grades are available. The Connexus process maintains minimum wall thickness requirements required by applicable industry specifications.

Connecting Coated Joints

Connexus MIF technology connects coated and bare pipe. Connexus uses no heat to form or join the pipe. The process eliminates thermal damage to ID coating that occurs during welding. It eliminates the need for field application of ID coatings, internal pipe sleeves, and extra processes, steps, time or materials compared to traditionally welded pipeline.

Epoxy with Purpose

Connexus epoxy has been specifically developed for use with the Connexus mechanical joint system. When cured, our proprietary epoxy is inert making it impenetrable to chemical attack or fluids. The Connexus epoxy is flexible, a property it retains indefinitely. Our epoxy will expand with the pipe as the joint uniformly expands and contracts with temperature and pressure variations.

Ease of Installation

The Connexus assembly press machine is carried by a side boom tractor/excavator or mounted on a lay barge. For typical onshore assembly, only one additional side boom or excavator is needed for pipe support. A typical Connexus MIF connection can be assembled in approximately 1 minute or less.

Safety

The Connexus system has an inherent safety advantage by reducing the number of workers handling the pipe. The Connexus process reduces the amount of heavy equipment moving along the right of way, and reduces risks associated with heat and electricity from welding.
